Harry saying "Spider-Man will pay" only to immediately thank Peter is legit one of my favorite uses of dramatic irony.
Guess I had something to do with that!
Ha! What are the odds?
Not to mention he's unknowingly repeating some of his father's last words.
It’s so good that Weird Al just reused the same joke in his Piano Man parody:
“It's a pretty sad day at the funeral
Norman Osborn has bitten the dust
And I heard Harry's said he wants Spider-Man dead
Aw, but his buddy Pete he can trust”
What about Edward Norton? Did you give him a chance?!
Look at Little Norton Jr. Gonna cry?
Oh Bruce Banner, yeah.
Disney: Sony, I want 3 more Spider-Man films and I want a quarter every time someone sees them
Sony: How about ~~Green Meanie~~ El Muerto?
Disney: *points at door*
Disney: Sony, you slime! Who's the writer who made MCU Vulture change universe!?
I don't know, his script comes by m(orb)ail
He’s the one who thinks they should team up, do some good
It's elmuer-krav-orbin' time !
Oh boy yeah. And Venomin' too
Can you explain this joke for me? I haven't read much about this Disney/Sony trade with Spiderman.
Basically Disney and Sony struck a deal to allow Spider-Man to appear in MCU projects and Disney gets a small percentage of the profit, while Sony maintains the large percentage of profit.
But Sony has their own cinematic Spider-Man universe that doesn’t feature Spider-Man haha. They keep making movies of characters not many people care about in the Spidey universe, like Morbius.
Is El Muerto one of those irrelevant side characters in the Spidey universe?
He's only been in like 2 issues; he's far more obscure than Morbius
Yes, so irrelevant, I’d never heard of him until they announced the movie lol. I’m pretty sure he’s a villain of Spider-Man? But like C level villain
Even calling him a villain is a stretch. He's just a wrestler who challenged Spider-Man to a fight.
It's a great idea in a way. sony can ruin or make him accurate, we might even like the movie.
Me realizing that there’s not much dialogue left for him to meme
**OH MY GOD THIS IS IT!**
You think he’ll also do all the lines for 2 and 3?
I don't think so
No I don’t think so, he’s been at this for a few years now, it’d be at least 10 before he finished.
There’s 2 more films
This is not James Franco's best screenshot.
Channeling that goblin energy
I thought he did that at UCLA?
Jesus, Franco! You are a freak.
You know, I'm something of a goblin myself
Sony: Wonderful news, Disney. Wonderful. In fact it's the reason we're taking Spider-Man out of the MCU.
Sony thought they could profit more of their spider universe outside of the mcu then most peps thought it was a stupid idea now peter is still in the mcu they got over the financial dispute
I was trying to continue the scenes dialogue lol
Seemed like actual confusion to me sorry about that misunderstanding
You’re good bro
Why wasn’t I told?
u/Vord_Loldemort_7 after realizing that people want him to do this with Spider-Man 2 and 3: “This is my gift… my curse.”
We are getting closer to the end
You know, you gotta appreciate how ahead of their time the Raimi films were. Harry swearing upon his fathers grave to kill Spider-Man in revenge before calling Peter the only family he has left would make the Internet explode if it was released now.
Er.. no it won't. The internet would explode complaining about how Goblin could've simply used the skeletonized pumpkin bomb on Spider-Man and that it was "bad writing".
Edit: y'all hate it because it's true
1. It’s a joke, cool it.
2. Anyone with half a brain can tell why the Goblin wouldn’t want to use a large-area disintegration weapon against the dude who shoots webbing and can throw it right back at him. We literally see this exactly play out in SM3.
1. What I said is also a joke, cool it *you*.
2. Yeah the problem is the quantity of people with less than half a braincell on the internet.
You’re in good company then!
On r/raimimemes ? For sure.
No.2 yeah you definitely prove your own point seeing you here
4 times? The ad said 3000
Day 40 of telling u/Vord_Loldemort_7 that that day 1208 should have been the guy on the barge saying "Yeah!" until it gets fixed.
Maybe he'll do a bonus one at the end.
Jesus, u/namethatsnotused you are a freak.
I don’t think it’s gonna get fixed at this point. You’re out of luck
I missed the part where that's my problem
OUT, IS HE??
Fight on until the end comrade!
I will not stop.
Sony, after many critical stinkers in the SSU: Can you pay me in advance?
(Day 245 of commenting)
HAHAHAHAHHAHQHAHQHAHAHAHAHAHAHH *slam hand to the table*
Pay you for what?
Sony at the office party: "It's pizza time"
I find this meme quite funny because oddly enough, I watched a bit of The Incredible Hulk (1977) the other day, great show from what I could gather, Bill Bixby is my favourite Bruce Banner of all time probably and while Lou Ferrigno’s Hulk isn’t as “comic-accurate” (looks wise) as Eric Bana’s or Edward Norton’s, I found it fairly enjoyable.
Disney: Spider-Man is gonna put the MCU on the map in a way Kevin Feige never even dreamed of.
Spiderman will always do in the box office. Everyone loves their neighborhood Spiderman
Spider-Man Homecoming saving the MCU from a year of horribly underperforming movies
It’s unironically the best MCU movie
Peter will always make the big bucks for Disney.
Atheists when he says thank God for you Peter instead of thank science for you Peter: oh you can't do this to me....
Everyone enjoying the meme: you want forgiveness? Get religion
How many qoutes do you have left?
Give me your hand.
Andrew, to his brother
Is anyone gonna mention how Sony got all of the box office returns from Homecoming
Me appreciating the actor who played Chewbacca:
Day 22 of joining u/namethatsnotused in their quest to tell u/Vord_Loldemort_7 that day 1208’s quote should’ve been “Yeah!” until it’s fixed
Sony should just sell the rights of Tom Holland Spiderman to Disney and then retain all the other Spiderman rights and make Andrew Garfield, The Amazing Spider Man 3 and profit 100% off the Spider Man hype.
It was a decent flick
Eh money is what they care more about than quality, Homecoming was great and everything but both movies have great older actors as the Villains with Keaton and Roth respectively (not to mention William Hurt who had the longest gap in appearances in the MCU) tied in Hulk and Iron man mythos and laid the groundwork for Captain America showing up (the Super soldier serum Hurt used in Blonsky was developed by Erskine himself, who hadn't appeared yet)
And imo the finale of Homecoming is just Peter breaking the flight suit and Adrian being apprehended easily because he's a human
We've never had an ending quite like Incredible Hulk and imo the action and fight have never even gotten close to that brawl on the street and I think it's still some of the best Hulk live action content we've ever gotten, that was the *savage* Hulk and I miss him
The Incredible Hulk is a really good movie. I lost interest in other MCU films because of it.
