Say what you want about this set, my son was 4 when this came out and it was his favorite lego set for a while. Iron Man, “Bad Guy” and cool lawnmower car.
Our family was poor growing up but I thrived off of those $10 Star Wars battle pack sets, those ones that came with 4 stormtroopers and a small vehicle or something
I'm not necessarily poor, but not really lower middle-class either, but I love the $10-$25 kits. It's just enough of a time-to-fun ratio and I can have multiple on a shelf just to looks pretty. Once in a while, I toss the sets into the LEGO bin and start over. My kid's LEGO stash gets slowly added to and I get some fun set pieces for my desk or my shelf.
Also, MegaBloks has some decent stuff lately. Those little $5-10 PokeBall sets are awesome.
I used to save up money to get bigger sets as a kid. I would still probably do that now and display it somewhere in my apartment
Megabloks (now mega construx lol) have been absolutely knocking it out of the park with their halo stuff lately the detail on their figures for the price is amazing
I’m pissed that they hiked the price so much that those little packs cost $20 now
Hell yeah those were the best as a kid
Yeah, bro. How else to you get enough stormtroopers build your own little legion?
These are the best kind of sets for that reason? Imo
Major characters not locked behind a $100+ set that’s constantly sold out
More than anything, I miss the limited Mandarin sauce McDonald's introduced for their nuggets. What a time to be alive.
Id do anything for that Szechuan Sauce, even if it takes 9 seasons!
That's my one-armed man! I'm not driven by avenging my dead family, Morty! That was fake. I-I-I'm driven by finding that McNugget sauce.
#NINE MORE SEASONS MORTY
Wubba lubba dub dub, Morty
That’s the waaaaaaaaaaaaay the news goes
You're getting real schwifty
You son of a bitch, I'm in!
Oh boy here I go killin' again
Secret Wars hasn’t happened yet, how do you know the Mandarin isn’t going to fight iron man on a zamboni? Anything is possible
Please. Its the Manadarin's Zamboni so you should really use its actual name - The Manboni
Its obviously the Zamdarin....
As in "whoa black betty, Zamdarin. black betty had a child, Zamdarin"
Thank you for this amazing comment.
When you're right you're right. All hail the Zamdarin.
This is basically what I hear when people back up their garbage MCU theories with "anything is possible in the multiverse."
i actually had this set a long time ago. was cool. and i think it was my first iron man figure
Mine was 6867 10 years ago and little did I know it would be the last Lego set I bought until I was an adult
Edit: got the year wrong!

This particular Iron Man figure (Heartbreaker) is actually exclusive to this set and one of the best ones they've ever done imo
From what I understand, every minifig is unique to each set. So every Iron Man set has a unique Iron Man. At least, that's what my Lego obsessed friend told me.
Not really. There are some, like the more obscure ones, but the main ones like Mk 50, 85, 3, they're in a couple different sets.
it’s been like over 7 years since i’ve had this set so the figure is probably long gone lol
The Mandarin should be the secret identity of a Man called Darrin.
Thor’s roommate, Darryl?
Well, he has been in a major MCU movie now, so he is canon…
Vision is Darrin. Wonder Man is the Other Darrin.
I’m so mad they spoiled Cap’s giant bike that had fire and guns. Oh and also War Machine emerging with his new hulkbuster alongside Ant-Man
Damn they even spoiled Hulk breaking out of the Hulkbuster
And they also spoiled Happy turning into Ryan from The Office
...of Ultimate Destiny
The box clearly shows good guys, bad guys, and explosions.
As far as the eye can see.
Only one will survive. I wonder who it will be.
What do you mean that was my favorite part, when the Mandarin said "It's mandarin' time!" and mandered all over those guys
#"It's you, Tony! You were the Iron Man Three all along!"
and now Iron Man Threes are canon lol
Wow, you had the titular line!
Yuck! I’m covered in his mandarin!
Mandar me harder daddy
I hate all of this 🤣
This is the way, for the Mandarinlorean.
Semi ironic as Mandarins come in seedless varieties
I was too young when I first saw that scene. Emotionally, I haven’t been the same since
I bought the Infinity War War Machine set and I was super excited for Ant Man to embiggen the War Machine armor but it didn’t happen : /
I remember that - the "War Machine Buster" set.
I think it was actually released just before Endgame, and people thought it was an Endgame spoiler.
Endgame yes duh
Heh I wasn't totally sure myself but looking at the image, the minifigs of War Machine and Ant-Man are wearing the white team suits so definitely Endgame-inspired.
That whole first endgame wave was so inaccurate (probably because Marvel either sent them nothing or fake spoilers)
Reminds me of the Transformers movie (the old, animated one) toys. The toy designers got the designs that would be in the movie, but not the story so they had to come up with their own lore for the blurbs on the boxes.
That’s the best scene in the movie.
“A chicken dish “.
America was afraid of an orange
This set made me insecure about buying lego in public for several years. I remember I was at target one day and I saw one of my teachers buying this set for her 3yo son
I have that set
“Like, When The F### did this happen in Ironman 3?”
Come on bruh.
I recognize the vehicle from the game Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Didn't know it was from an actual set.
My favourite part of thorns 3 was when the big green monster showed up and attacked Jane and thor
I think Lego has recently become more concerned with sets that actually appear in the movies. I've noticed it since Infinity War's sets released.
Tell me you haven’t seen the movie without telling me you haven’t seen the movie
They never see the movie.😂 They work with concept art, and sometimes with the build it’s down to their imagination.
I read that as Iron Man vs The Mandalorian, and now I need a little sit down.
This was my first lego iron man
This would've been a fun moment, the Mandarin using some sort of mobile death machine to take on Iron Man. But Trevor Slatterly grew on me. And I hope we see him again in the next Shang-Chi movie.
He's gonna be in Wonder Man apparently
I don’t necessarily think that’s a fair comparison though lol. LEGO makes little builds like this that are completely inaccurate all the time, it’s just a means to sell the figures. And when it comes to figures, they may get the odd outfit wrong because of concept art, but they aren’t gonna get the whole character wrong lol. They just wouldn’t include the character at all if they didn’t know who it was.
I had that set
Vacuum man attacks ironman?
That single set was the thing that got me into marvel movies
Would you believe that people over at r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers actually believe every LEGO set is a spoiler 😂
Tha tis worse than the Black Widow set with the completely wrong helicoptor and Task Master riding a motorcycle.
