This is a bit of a rant but why do we use the term “steal your girl”? Girls aren’t just bots that just instantly flock to the manliest(whatever defines that) guy they can see. I mean some girls might be like that but overall they’re obviously thinking, feeling people right? So why do we get mad at the guy for “stealing your girl” as opposed to the girl for being a hoe? I mean yes, it’s definitely rude for the guy to intrude on a relationship, but that’s the name of the game. It’s every guy trying to get the girl they want and some guys will inevitably be hurt. If the girl leaves , it’s not that the other guy “stole your girl.” It’s that your girl is unfaithful and selfish

I’m not going to deny that the term is problematic, but tbh, 99% of the time I see it, it’s in a context like this post. Meaning it’s a meme, it’s a joke, it’s not even remotely supposed to be taken seriously. I’m a female and I don’t really have a problem with it in this context because it’s genuinely just supposed to be a goofy meme to make people laugh, not to actually shit on girls/women.
