I mean it was intentionally designed as a post-modernist take on art deco/neo-classical skyscrapers. Most apparent is the crowning spire (which is a smaller representation of the building itself, or so I was told) and steel girder pyramid, as well as the graduated elevations that narrow the building towards the top. It's affectionately known as the pencil building to Atlantans.
Nice, I was inviting the OP, but the architectural discussion is fun!
Where does the building show it's post modernism? Or alternatively, fails to express the art deco?
My wife works in this building.
Also nicknamed “the pencil building”
It is the tallest building in the Southeast and the tallest building in a US capital city.
It intersects North Ave and Peachtree St, 2 major thoroughfares to get around. Sometimes when I’d get lost in Atlanta, I’d look for this building on the skyline and drive towards it until I hit a road I knew.
Interesting fact: the funding for three stories of this building came entirely from the overdraft fees I was charged in college.
I would consider this more postmodern than any other style.
Post-modern, not art deco. Though since you've posted it; i wonder, OP, if you could describe the art deco inspiration exhibited in this building.

Gives me strong 1920 gaudy great Gatsby vibes
It looks like a cheap version of what you describe.
Yeah like Gatsby lesser known brother from Shelbyville, Gay Jatsby!
Too bad BOA sucks a fat donkey dick.
