I was introduced to this sub and the Art Deco style because of this building lol. It's always stood out to me as exceptionally detailed (especially the lobby and courtyard, this pic doesn't do it justice), and I remember wanting to find out more about this architectural style. The internet did not disappoint.
I just hate the middle 2/3rds. It’s basically mostly a boring modern glass building with Art Deco in the top and bottom 1/3rds.
So it seems a bit hodgepodge for me.
The interior is awesome though.
I’ve stayed in the Andaz that now wraps around much of it. The bar inside it ‘atlas’ is something else. Highly recommend stopping by there once if you get the chance.
I didn't know about this. It's very nice, and the interior is beautiful.
The bar inside is absolutely gorgeous too. So art deco it hurts. Definitely my favourite building in Singapore.
The lobby though is absolutely fantastic.

Feel like I should love this but there's something off about it. Maybe the base is too big and bulky?

The square below looks great at night too!

That's a failed attemp at art deco facade in my opinion
Yeah looks like 2002 to me!
